Jean Marie Clark was born on July 20th, 1931 in Marshall to Ovid (O.J.) and Cecelia (Babe) Qunell. She graduated from Marshall High School. She married Joe Clark on April 11, 1950. She worked at Kelco, Addison Hardware, JCPenney, Taylor Lumbaryard, Hy-Vee, and Schwans. In her later years, she enjoyed watching Minnesota sports, playing cards, crocheting, knitting, fishing, bowling and gardening. You can catch her at ten oâclock watching The Price is Right. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
She passed away on October 1, 2011 a little after ten oâclock in the evening with her family at her side. She is survived by her husband, Joe Clark; her children Mike and Linda Clark of Wisconsin, Mary and Steve Morgan of Marshall, and Cathy and Rodney Vellinga of Iowa. Grandchildren Perry and Jean Clark of Minnesota, Gabe and Deb Clark of Texas, Shannon and Johann Bragger of Wisconsin; Jeremy and Trina Morgan of Marshall, Nicki and Paul Moen of St. Cloud; Tristan and Sonia Vellinga of Florida, Hannah Vellinga of Iowa and Dylan Vellinga of Iowa. Eleven great grandchildren, siblings Joan and Francis Pofliet of Marshall, Janet and Ed McFarland, Joyce and Vern Goslar, George Qunell, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Dennis Clark, sister Gloria Vien, and brother Bob Qunell.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Prairie Home Hospice or the Diabetes Assocation.
