Jo Johnson

Jo Lynn (Stark) Johnson was born on October 22, 1956, in Fairmont to Warren and Doris (Weber) Stark. When she was in grade school, Jo moved with her family to Pillager where she graduated from High School. Jo then attended college at Brainerd. After college, she moved to Minneota where she worked for Schott Corporation, the municipal liquor store and later Bubba’s Bar. Joe was united in marriage to Mark Johnson in 1984. She enjoyed various crafts and making jewelry. Jo has been involved with Boy Scouts in Minneota for many years. She was most passionate about her animals and spending time with her grandchildren. Jo died on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Mark, of Minneota, son Jason (and Tara) of Minneota, grandchildren Rebecca, Kaitlyn, Branden and Gavin, sister Deborah Puglsey of St. Cloud, special niece Jesse (and Jeff) Franks of St. Cloud. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Danny Stark.
