A celebration of life service for Jo Ann “Jo” Peltier, 69, of Sioux Falls, SD, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall, MN.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Remembrance Center. Interment will take place at St. Clotilde Catholic Cemetery in Green Valley, MN.

Jo Ann Peltier was born in Marshall, MN, on February 9, 1955, to William and Mildred "Tweet" (Rohrs) Keplinger. She attended school in Marshall, MN, and went on to further her education at Granite Falls Vocational Technical College with a degree in Secretarial Studies.

On June 7, 1975, Jo married Les Kvam and was blessed with three children: Lori, Lance and Adam.

Jo married Joseph Peltier on September 14, 1986, in Britt, MN. She was a devoted mother to her children and an exceptional Grammy to her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Jo invested many years of her life as a business owner and caterer. In 1991, Joe and Jo opened their first location of Joe Jo’s in Hoffman, MN, and later on went to open a second location in 2001 in Elbow Lake, MN. Jo was known for her captivating smile, warm presence, and ability to give others a sense of belonging. Any and every one that came into the Joe Jo’s family stayed in the family.

Jo’s favorite pastime activities included spending time with her family, watching them laugh and play, along with crocheting, sewing, playing yard games, cards, darts, and listening to music. Jo also loved her morning coffee phone calls with friends and family.

Jo passed away peacefully at home in Sioux Falls, SD, surrounded by family, on Friday, June 28, 2024. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Peltier; three children Lori (Jeff) Kvam, Lance Kvam and Adam (Wendy) Kvam; eight grandchildren: Tia (Nick) Kahler, Sadee (Josh) Church, Mackenzie (Bryce) Ceroll, Hunter (Savannah) Burchill, Sidney Alvstad, Adam Randall Kvam Jr., Legacy Vrchota, and Trever Schultz; great-grandchild Everley Kahler and four siblings: Debbie Warnke of Marshall, MN, Donna (Richard) Boerboom of Seminole, FL, Chuck (Rolly) Muller of Marshall, MN, and Willy (Jena) Muller of Ruidoso, NM.

Jo is preceded in death by her parents; Tweet and Chuck Muller; father-in-law Harvey Peltier, mother-in-law Hope Peltier; sister Jackie Bauman; three sisters-in-law Pearl Nickels, Sue Peltier and Ida Peltier and four brothers-in-law Ron Warnke, Dennis Verschelde, Merlyn Peltier and Denny Richnafsky.

The family would like to thank everyone for the unconditional love, support, and company throughout these last few months.
