Judith Lynn (Klaith) Carlstrom was born October 9, 1945 in Marshall to Helen and Lawrence Klaith. She grew up in Marshall and attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in Marshall in 1963. She was united in marriage to Ray Carlstrom on October 14, 1978. During their life together they lived in Sioux Falls and Aberdeen, SD. Judy worked as a nanny in Sioux Falls and Aberdeen until the death of her husband, Ray. Judy then moved back to Marshall in 1996. She lived with her mother, Helen, until her diagnosis of breast cancer. Judy has spent the last ten months at the hospice house in Marshall. Judy lived each day to the fullest and had the biggest, kindest, loving, most giving heart of anyone we know. She blessed many people’s lives. Her pride and joy were her nieces and nephews whom she adored as well as her mother, Helen. Judy’s loving spirit and contagious laughter will be forever missed. Judy was preceded in death by her father, husband, paternal and maternal grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother Helen Klaith of Marshall, brother Greg (and Sherry) of North Carolina, their children Melissa (and Scott) Harrell and Kelly (and Scott) Yates, brother Gary (and Bonnie) of Minneapolis, sister Marcia of Marshall, her children Matthew, Taryn and Tosha, brother Marc (and Missy) of Marshall, their children Brock, Austin and Nicholas, brother Michael (and Pam) of Minneapolis , their children Lauren and Joey, great nieces Felisha, Michelle, Christa, Heather, Taylor and Lillian, many cousins, her best friends Jan and Joan and all the wonderful caregivers at the Prairie Home Hospice House.
