Judy Ann (Hasner) Lanners was born on October 21, 1955, in Chester, Montana, to Clayton and Gladys (Ouverson) Hasner. As a child, she and her family lived in a variety of communities before settling in Minneota where Judy graduated from high school in 1974. On October 9, 1976, she was united in marriage to James âJimâ Lanners at Hope Lutheran Church. The couple made their home and raised their family in Minneota and Judy worked part time at Darleneâs Café in town. She began working as a Substitute and Auxiliary Mail Carrier in November, 1996. In 2013, she began working full time as a Rural Mail Carrier in Minneota. Judy loved her ipad. She also enjoyed playing games, especially Bunco, cooking and puzzles. She found great pleasure in helping and giving to others. For many years, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed making others happy and spending time with family and friends. Judy was a great mother and enjoyed tending to her children and grandchildren.
Judy died on Friday, October 3, 2014, as the result of an auto accident north of Minneota. She is survived by her husband, Jim, of Minneota, children Jamie (special friend Garrett) of Marshall, Galen (and Jamie) Lanners of Marshall, Nicholas (and Amanda) Lanners of Brandon, SD, Stephanie Lanners of Plymouth, grandchildren Victoria (19,) Faith (15,) Theresa (13,) Matthew (9,) Ella Mae (two months,) siblings Linda (and Tony) Omann of St. Stephen, MN, Sandy (and Jim) Verschelde of Minneota, David (and Karen) Hasner of Mora, Todd Hasner of Garvin, Keith (and Michelle) Hasner of Lakeville, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
