A private family gathering will be held at a later date for Julie De Langhe - Hile, 73, of Marshall.
Julie was born on January 26, 1951, at the Weiner Memorial Hospital in Marshall, MN. She was the first born to Edward L. and Emma M. (Thooft) De Langhe. Julie spent her childhood on the farm being raised with her five sisters and five brothers, attending Holy Redeemer Catholic School and graduating from Marshall High School with the class of 1969. She attended the Minnesota School of Business.
Julie enjoyed animals – horses, calves, cats & especially hummingbirds. She lived much of her adult life in Texas where she enjoyed the hot sunshine. She met her husband Denny Hile as they both worked for Schwan’s/Red Baron Company. They were united in marriage on June 19, 1995. Julie worked at John Deere Landscape in the nursery where she shared her passion and knowledge of plants – she would say her plants were her pets!
Julie and Denny began their business of striping parking lots: “Steam Team.” Julie returned to Marshall in 2018 to be closer to her Mom and family.
After a long battle with cancer, Julie passed to her eternal home peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 24, 2024, under hospice care at her residence with her sister, Nancy, by her side. She is survived by her loving siblings: John (Denise) De Langhe of Colorado Spring, CO, Donald (Teresa) De Langhe of Rural Marshall, Mary (Jeff) Jones of Spring Branch, TX, Ann (Jim) Carrow of Marshall, Ernest De Langhe of Burnsville, MN, Edine Hudnutt of Madrid, IA, Nancy (Tom) Poole of Mendota Heights, MN, Daniel De Langhe and friend Deb Ness of Rural Marshall, sister-in-law Donna (Todd) Morse of Fargo, ND, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Let us remember Julie for her love of American Flags, yellow daffodils and the precious word BELIEVE.
