Katherine (Kathy) Jean Bump

A memorial service for Katherine “Kathy” Bump, 57, of Marshall will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 p.m at the Eagle's Club in Marshall. A special service of remembrance will take place at 5:00 p.m. Kathy died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at her residence in Marshall. Katherine Jean Bump was born on December 23, 1957, in Marshall, to Lyle and Nadine (Palmer) Bump. She grew up in Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School. Kathy then attended Ridgewater College in Willmar. She did a variety of work including secretarial, home healthcare, and most recently in quality control for Turkey Valley Farms. She enjoyed dancing, reading and spending time at the casino and laughing with friends. Kathy was most passionate about spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children Adam Rivera of Balaton, Alena Rivera of Burnsville, Raul Rivera and Jasmine LaVoie of Marshall, Natalia Rivera of Marshall, grandchildren Arianna and Jazlyn, Crystal, Brianna, Adam Jr., Noah, Esteffany and Jennifer, Julian and Espyn, mother Mary Bump, siblings Dean (and Shari) Deutz, Linda (and John) Haugen, Ali (and Scott) Beekman, Lisa Deutz (and Rami Raphael), Jason (and Chrissy) Bump and Lori (and Travis) Bosacker, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Lyle Bump, mother Nadine Bump, brother Phillip Deutz and an infant grandson.
