Kenneth Henry Riecke was born on May 6, 1947, in Marshall, to Henry and Mildred (Hauschild) Riecke. He grew up in Minneota and graduated from Minneota High School. Ken attended the Canby Vocational Technical School for one year. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he settled in Texas where he worked as a self-employed mechanic, working mostly on motorcycles. In 2008, he moved to Clarkfield. Ken loved motorcycles. In his younger years, he used to race cars. He was very creative and enjoyed drawing and pottery.
Kenneth died on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at the Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield, due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis. He is survived by his son Dale Riecke, granddaughters Sara and Anna, son Michael Riecke, grandsons Gabriel, Devyn and Gavin Riecke, daughter Theresa Riecke, granddaughter Amanda, and son Fred Riecke, his mother Mildred, siblings John (and Patty) Riecke from Washington, JoAnn Styrbicky from Cyrus, MN, sister Susan (and Bill) Furan from Tyler, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
