The funeral service for Kimberley “Kim” Vick, 54, of Taunton, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Interment will follow the service at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Minneota.
Kimberley Sue (Hostetler) Vick was born on October 15, 1967, in Red Oak, IA, to Albert and Joyce (Kompelien) Hostetler. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Minneota and graduated from Minneota High School. Kim worked at several jobs including the Bread Store in Marshall, as a cook at the Minneota Manor, and, for many years, as a Bartender at the West End Bar in Taunton. On August 24, 1991, she was united in marriage to Stuart Vick. To this union were born children Jason, Nathaniel and Serrifia. Kim loved being a mother and always tended to the needs of her family. She made friends easily and enjoyed socializing. She also enjoyed shopping and the occasional trip to a local casino. Kim was a talented artist and really enjoyed fishing.
Kim died on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD, after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, Stuart Vick, of Taunton, son Jason Vick (and fiancé Jenna Hennen) of Taunton, son Nathaniel Vick of Taunton, daughter Serrifia Vick (and Christopher Ebeling) of Minneota, sisters Jeana Hostetler-Christiansen, Johanna Hostetler and brother Frank Hostetler, nieces, nephews, relatives and her pets Duchess and Chester. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
