Knute Anderson

Knute Anderson was born June 8, 1918 in Eidsvold Township in Lyon County to Rasmus N. and Nellie (Kvanbek) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. He married Dora Luella Knutson on June 1, 1943 at the Hope Lutheran Parsonage in Minneota. They farmed until 1974, when they moved into Minneota. He served on the Eidsvold Township Board for over thirty years and on the State Bank of Taunton Board of Directors for over thirty years. Knute died on October 15, 2012 at Sanford Canby Medical Center in Canby. He is survived by two sons, Keith (Jill) of Minneota and Kevin (Jamie) of Taunton; five grandchildren, Karin (Anthony) Finnegan of Plymouth, Krista Anderson of Plymouth, Bryan (Jen) Anderson of Brandon, SD, and Nicole Anderson & Christopher Burke of San Diego, CA, Jenna Anderson of International Falls; four great grandchildren, Brendan and Kieran Finnegan of Plymouth, Grant and Brody Anderson of Brandon, SD. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora; parents; grandson, Michael Dean; brother, Nils; sister, Agnes.
