Lenoy Warren Rue

Lenoy Warren Rue was born on July 18, 1930 to Ervin and Alice (Haerter) Rue, in Milwaukee, WI. When Lenoy was one year old his family moved to the family farm outside of Balaton, MN where Lenoy has lived ever since. The Rue family has lived on this farm since the 1870’s.

Lenoy has one son Mark Rue, and one grandson Braiden Rue.

Lenoy had a deep passion for farming. He took pride in working the land that has been in his family for generations. Lenoy loved polka music and enjoyed playing the accordion during his free time. He had a soft spot for animals especially his dogs.

Lenoy died peacefully on August 15, 2023 at the Prairie Home Hospice McLaughlin House with his son and grandson at his side.

He is survived by his son Mark Rue; grandson Braiden Rue; niece Vergene (Tom) Downs, their children Jacob Downs, Rebecca Downs; niece Kathy Kruse; nephew Brad (Kimberly Faurot) Kruse.

Lenoy is preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Alice Rue; his daughter-in-law Terra Nicole Rue, sister Darline Kruse, brother-in-law Verland Kruse.
