Lillian M. (Denno) Marcotte was born on May 6, 1914, in Fowler, Indiana, to Leonard and Laura (Le Beau) Denno. She moved to Minneota, Minnesota at the age of 5. On October 3, 1939, she was united in marriage to James O. Marcotte at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Marshall where they owned and operated Marcotte Jewelry for over 35 years. Lillian enjoyed raising her six children, and being with her grandchildren. She loved taking care of her family. She also enjoyed working along side Jim in the jewelry store. Her hobbies included bowling in the winter and golfing in the summer. In their later years, she and Jim enjoyed their summers at their lake home on Lake Ida in Alexandria. She will be remembered for her sweet nature, and beautiful smile. After James’ death, Lillian moved to Sedona, Arizona to be near her son Jamie, and then resided in Indianapolis, Indiana for the next seven years. She died on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at the Castleton Healthcare Center in Indianapolis. Lillian is survived by her children John (Sue) Marcotte of Deep Haven, MN, Jamie (Beth) Marcotte of Albuquerque, NM, Randy Marcotte of Marshall, and Debbie (Tom) Juba of Indianapolis, IN. Her daughter Sharon and her son Timothy have preceded her in death. She has 11 grandchildren, Julie, Tres, Ryan, Briana, Jonathan, Kari, Kelly, Bob, Rebecca, Benjamin and Carolyn, and 4 great-grandchildren, Alycia, Oscar, Christian, and Lenora. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent in memory of Lillian, for her beloved son Timothy to: The Bob Allison Ataxia Research Center, c/o Minnesota Medical Foundation, 200 Oak St. SE, Suite 300, Minneapolis, MN 55455.
