Linda Lee Sjurseth (Carrette) passed away on May 22, 2021 at the age of 60 in Marshall, Minnesota. Linda was born on August 19, 1960, the third child of Albert and Rachel Carrette in Canby, Minnesota. She graduated from Canby High School in 1979 and earned a degree from Canby Area Vocational School in Food Services. She was a long-time resident of Taunton before moving to Marshall in 2021. Linda was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Taunton and later of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Minneota. Linda had a warm, comforting presence. She cared for all living things including her animals and her plants. She inherited her green thumb from her father Albert, learning at a young age how to grow a prosperous garden. Linda’s garden was always beautiful and full of blooms of bright colors from her lilies and dahlias. Linda had a gift for remembering the smallest details about everyone she met, from those that she would greet at Hy-vee where she worked, to never forgetting a birthday or special occasion of those she loved. Linda was an avid cook and baker. She loved sharing her talent in the kitchen with her family and friends. At family gatherings there was never enough of Linda’s homemade banana bread or famous turkey stuffing to go around. Linda made every effort to show her family that she loved them through all the phone calls, thoughtful cards for every birthday, holiday, and special occasions, and giving the biggest warm hugs. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. Linda died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at her residence in Marshall. Among the survivors are daughters Krystal (Troy) Campbell of Sioux Falls, SD, and Kari (Scott) Geary of Atlanta, GA, and a son Matthew (Justine) Sjurseth of Shakopee, MN; grandchildren: Summer, Seth, and Ashleigh Moline; Aubrynn Brown; and Rosie Sjurseth; siblings: Diane (James) Tuttle, Laurie (Mike) Carrette Zook, Debbie (Gary) Goblirsch, and Paul (Anita) Carrette; and a host of nephews and nieces. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Rachel, and brothers Larry and Mark.
