Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine Sullivan, 95, of Marshall, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. â 8:00 p.m. at Rehkamp â Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall with a CCW Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall.
Lorraine Evelyn (Lambert) Sullivan was born on July 21, 1912, in Lyon County to Arthur and Eva (Suprenant) Lambert. She attended country school. On August 8, 1932, Lorraine was united in marriage to Emmet Sullivan at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. The couple made their home in Marshall. Lorraine worked at Locyâs Studio for 25 years. She enjoyed anything musical and she and Emmet particulary loved to dance, especially at the Blue Moon. Lorraine enjoyed people and participated in any social events and activities throughout her life, even in her years at Hill St and the Granite Falls Manor. Lorraine was a member of Holy Redeemer and Central High School parent groups. She was also a 62 year member of Catholic Daughters of America, Council of Catholic Women and a Bible Study group. She was a devoted volunteer for the WMMC Thrift Shop and Gift Shop for many years.
Lorraine died on Friday, May 2, 2008, at the Granite Manor in Granite Falls. She is survived by her children Bob (and Shirley) of Northfield, MN, Sharon (and Duane) Deutz of Lynd, Nancy (and Gaylord) Budd of Vadnais Heights, Rosemary of St. Paul, Linda (and John) Ims of Granite Falls, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death her parents, husband Emmet, brother Larry Lambert and sister Dorothy Peterson.
