Louis Arthur Brewers was born on December 20, 1927, in Westerheim Township to Louis and Blanche (Rogge) Brewers. He grew up on the family farm near Minneota. Louis served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On October 27, 1952, he was united in marriage to Beverly Hendricks at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Louis operated a Standard Oil Gas Station in Marshall for a time. He later worked as a Salesman for Moormanâs Feed for more than 30 years. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. He also enjoyed following sports, especially the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Louie was a talented woodworker. He completed many small and large projects, including building a cabin near Lake Cochran.
Louis died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of Marshall, daughter Donna Olson of Payson, AZ, grandchildren Brian, Robert, Barbara (and Brian,) Brad (and Angie,) and Daynette, several great-grandchildren, siblings Robert (and Barbara) Brewers of Marshall, Jenny Clark of Marshall, Wally (and Georgia) Brewers of Marshall, Daniel (and Lu) Brewers of Tracy, Veronica (and Daryl) Miller of Marshall, Celie Alder of Billings, MT, Jeannie Drown of Marshall, Marilyn (and Dan) Gregoire of Marshall, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Daniel Savoie, sister Marion, brothers-in-law Pat Clark and David Alder.
