Lucille Vlaminck was born on April 22, 1928 in Alta Vista Township, rural Taunton, Minnesota to Stanley and Maggie (Kopitski) Mular. She was baptized, made her First Communion, and was confirmed at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Taunton. She attended Taunton grade school and graduated from Minneota High School.
On June 11, 1946, she was united in marriage to Jerry Vlaminck at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Taunton. They farmed by Taunton for 15 years and in 1964, they moved to Minneota. She worked for Dr. J.M. Schulte for 10 years. After that, they retired and spent several winters in Arizona. She was a life-long member of the American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Lucille valued her community ad her faith. She often enjoyed spending time and sharing conversation over rolls and coffee with her neighbors and many friends.
On Saturday, August 6, 2016, Lucille passed away in Minneota at the age of 88.
She is survived by her son-in-law Jim Ulwelling; granddaughters, Ali, Lani, and Mesa; great grandchildren, Wiley, Owen, Adelyn, and Max; sister, Leona (Robert) Speck; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry, and daughter Margaret Ulwelling.
