Lynne Marie Clark

Lynne Marie (Melsness) Clark was born on October 17, 1955 to Lyle and Charlotte (Hovda) Melsness in Yellow Medicine County. She grew up in Sacred Heart and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in the spring of 1974. Upon graduation Lynne began working at Werner Plant in Sacred Heart. Lynne enjoyed her time working at the Werner Plant until she moved to Beaver Creek and began working as a City Clerk. She was proud of the services she provided to the city of Beaver Creek. 

Lynne moved to Marshall in the early 90’s and started a job at BH Electronics. It was at this job that Lynne met Michael Clark. The couple was married on December 27, 1996 in Sioux Falls, SD. Together they have one son Joshua who was born on April 23, 1997. 

Lynne had many passions throughout her lifetime. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. She enjoyed a hot cup of coffee and a competitive game of cards especially 500 rummy. Lynne was known for her homemade lemon bars and mac and cheese. She could often be found knitting blankets or scarves for her friends and family members. Lynne always had a soft spot in her heart for animals. 

Lynne passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Prairieview Senior Living in Tracy. 

She is survived by her son Joshua (Jordan Heis) Clark; brothers Lonnie (Sue) Melsness, Terry Melsness; sister Cheryl Wasmund; half-brothers Douglas Melsness, Michael (Kathryn) Melsness; special friends Connie (Craig) Lindsay, Deb Vant Hof; her special cat Twinkie; many aunts uncles extended family and friends. 

Lynne is preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Charlotte; sister Lorrie Lemke; brother-in-law Richard Lemke; special friend David Fiegen.
