Margaret Mae Anderson

Margaret M. Anderson age 84 of Tracy, MN died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Prairie View Health Care Center in Tracy. Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Tracy Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be at the Tracy City Cemetery. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements. Margaret Mae Anderson was born March 20, 1925 to Lloyd and Mae (Burnham) Anderson in Tracy, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She grew up on a farm south of Tracy and attended country school, before attended Tracy High School, graduating in 1942. She went to work, as a nurse, at Tracy Hospital from 1942 until 1949, when she moved to Willmar, MN and worked at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar for two years. Margaret then moved to Minneapolis, MN and began a career as a surgical technician at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. After thirty five years Margaret retired in 1986 and moved back to Tracy the following year. In 2001 she became a resident of the Tracy Nursing Home and moved to Prairie View Health Care Center in 2006. She was a member of Tracy Lutheran Church and over the years had been active in the church women’s groups and circle. She enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world, reading anything that was of interest and had been a member of several card clubs while living in the Twin Cities. She also enjoyed time spent with her nieces and nephews over the years. On Saturday, May 9, 2009 Margaret died at the Prairie View Health Care Center in Tracy at the age of 84. Margaret is survived by her one sister, Marie Sanow of Tracy, MN; one niece, Donna (George) Questad of Crooks, SD; two nephews, Ronald (Bonnie) Sanow of Brainerd, MN and David (Theresa) Sanow of Lewiston, MN; four great nieces and nephews, and one great great nephew. Her parents, and one brother-in-law, Fred Sanow preceded her in death.
