Margaret (Maggie) May Kamholz

d. October 15, 2019

Maggie was an amazing woman! Fearless, honest, strong, inspirational, devoted, resourceful and one in a million! – Margaret was born on May 26, 1925, in Morgan, to Ernest and Margaret Heckler Gluth at home on the family farm. She graduated from Morgan High School in 1943. On November 25, 1946, she married Donald A. Johnson, of Tracy, at Morgan United Methodist Church. To this union they have two daughters June and Denise. Margaret’s husband Donald A. Johnson died March 8, 1993. Margaret worked in the Tracy area for several years, including Stassen Studio. She lived in Tracy for approximately 60 years. Margaret moved to Alexandria, on April 20, 2002, when she married William Kamholz of Alexandria. After the death of William Kamholz, Margaret relocated back to Tracy in 2008. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tracy, Ladies Aid, Presbyterian Church Circle, Charter member of Tracy Municipal Hospital, Tracy American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. Maggie had many hobbies and interests including golfing, bridge, knitting, crocheting, gardening, bowling, playing pool, Scherenschnitte (paper cutting, as she never tired of this hobby) and many other hobbies too numerous to mention. The Lord was her #1 priority. Maggie passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home in Morgan, MN. Margaret is survived by her daughters June and Dennis Minnehan of Albertville and Denise and Werner Nickel (Vaughn) of Crystal; sister Diane Gluth of Osceola, WI; brother Denis Gluth of Morgan; granddaughter Dawn and Kevin Hemann of Owatonna, great granddaughter Natasha and Joe Nankivil (Gannon and Aria), and great grandson Garrett Hemann; granddaughter Amy and Jeff Swiatkiewicz of Albertville, great grandsons Bryce and Alex Swiatkiewicz, and great granddaughter Alyssa Swiatkiewicz; sister-in-law Donna and Terry Bladhom of Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Maggie’s new mission takes her to a wonderful reunion with her husband Donald and second husband Bill, her grandson Eric Nickel, as well as family and friends Maggie has not seen in a long time. Maggie will be dancing, socializing, gardening, and golfing to her heart’s content. Memorials preferred to Hospice of Murray County Tracy House or the Donor’s Choice.
