Marie Sanow, age 92, of Tracy Minnesota, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Prairie View Senior Living Center in Tracy and was taken into the loving care of her lord and savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 27, 2015 at Tracy Lutheran Church in Tracy with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Marie was born June 18, 1922 in Tracy to Lloyd and Mary Mae Anderson. She attended country school in Murray County near Lake Fremont through the eighth grade. She graduated from Tracy High School in 1939. She attended practical nurses training at the Vocational Franklin Hospital in Minneapolis becoming licensed as a LPN nurse. Upon graduation she returned to Tracy and began practicing her profession with Drs. Holiday and Workman. She then worked briefly in Mayville, ND at City Hospital and Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar MN a total of three years before returning to Tracy where she worked another 51 years at the Clinic and Tracy Municipal Hospitals, retiring in 1991.
On June 25,1948 Marie and Fred Sanow were married at the Tracy Lutheran Church. They made their home and raised their family in Tracy MN during the remainder of their lives. Marie enjoyed making patchwork quilts. She also loved outdoor activities including gardening, Bullhead fishing, boating and her daily neighborhood walks. Growing up on a rural Tracy farm she loved animals, especially horses and dogs.
Her greatest love though was her family. She is survived by her children Donna (George) Questad of Crooks SD, Ron (Bonnie) Sanow of Brainerd MN, David (Theresa) Sanow of Lewiston MN; Grandchildren Todd Myhre, Jodi Myhre, Curtis Sanow, Christina Sanow, Laura (Grant) Venekamp Fisher and one Great Grandchild, Ben Myhre.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred, a sister Margaret Anderson, both parents and many relatives.
