Marvin was born on June 6, 1937, in Tracy, to Philip and Antoinette (Oulete) St. Aubin. He attended country school and then Marshall High School where he graduated in 1956. On June 6, 1957, he was united in marriage to Lois Solberg at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Marvin drove truck for Marshall Meat Co., then for Viessman’s until his health stopped him from working. He enjoyed sports very much, especially NASCAR racing. He also loved the Twins, the Vikings, and following his children’s athletics. Marvin had many good times when he went camping and fishing with friends. He also loved fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He often said “We had a lot of good times and some bad, but the good always outnumbered the bad.” Marvin died on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Lois, children Mike of Ivanhoe, Bob (special friend Mary Taylor) of Wood Lake, Brian (Deb) of Tucson, AZ, Tim of Lynd, Patty Swett of Tucson, 10 grandchildren, siblings Donna (Ronald) Weidauer of Marshall, Darlene (Jim) Jandl of Marshall, Jim (Kathy) of Apache Junction, AZ, Mary St. Aubin of Minnetonka, sister-in-law Shirley Taylor of Cove, OR, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Nick and mother-in-law.
