Mary Ann (Zenk) Full was born on June 20, 1933, in Alton, IA, to Mike and Margaret (Engeldinger) Zenk. She grew up and attended school in Alton. After high school, Mary Ann attended St. Joseph's Mercy School of Nursing in Sioux City, IA. On January 26, 1955, she was united in marriage to Mark Full at St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Alton. The couple farmed near Taunton and St. Leo in the early years of their marriage before moving to Minneota. Mary Ann worked as a nurse at the Canby Hospital before beginning a 33 year career primarily as the Director of Nursing at the Minneota Manor. Mary Ann was active at St. Edward Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Minneota Lions Club, St. Leoâs American Legion Auxiliary, the Minneota Ambulance Service, and Prairie Home Hospice. Mary Ann loved socializing with her friends, family, and coworkers. She especially enjoyed spending time at Lake Jewett. She also enjoyed crocheting, crafts, baking, and playing cards.
Mary Ann died on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the Minneota Manor after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She is survived by her daughter Pat (and Tony) Buretta of Owatonna, their children Eddie and Mark, daughter Judy (and Jim) Armstrong of Port Angeles WA, their children Art and Jack, daughter Betty (and Tim) Gossen of Minneota, their children Sharene, Talina, Jerik, Leah and Chelsey, son Tim (and Kay) Full of Forest Lake, their children Michelle, Renee and Jonny, son Terry (and Tina) Full of Rollingstone, their children Hayden, Carter, Brenden and Ashlyn, siblings: Mildred Vortherms, Msgr. Richard Zenk, and Donald Zenk, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mark, grandson Michael Full, brothers Milo, Alfred, Alvin, and Cyril Zenk.
