The funeral service for Mary Lou Manguson Anderson, 86, of Tracy, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Tracy Lutheran Church in Tracy. Visitation will be Friday, October 25, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with prayers and sharing of memories at 7:30 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Tracy. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Tracy Lutheran Church. Interment will follow the service at the Tracy Cemetery.

Mary Lou (Templeton) Manguson Anderson was born on May 27, 1938 in Tracy, MN, to Charles and Muriel (Johns) Templeton. She grew up in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School. On February 20, 1960, she was united in marriage to James Gordon Manguson at the First Presbyterian Church of Tracy. The couple farmed and raised their family on a farm north of Tracy. Mary Lou was active on the farm and enjoyed tending to her flowers and bird watching. James died in 1989. On June 1, 1991, Mary Lou was united in marriage to Ivan Anderson. The couple split time between Mary Lou’s farm and Ivan’s farm in Russell. 

Mary Lou was a former member of the Eastern Star and Serving Hands, the Nursing Home Auxiliary. She enjoyed travelling, playing cards and coffee time with her friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed square dancing as well.

Mary Lou died on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy, MN, after a year long battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Manguson of Tracy, son Alan Manguson of Tracy, step-daughters Dawn (Loren) Evans of Balaton and Marjorie (Steve) Ostgaard of Tracy, five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands James and Ivan, brother Dale Templeton, sister Donna Christensen and step-son Darwin Anderson.
