Mary Van Moorlehem

Mary Alice (De Bruycker) Van Moorlehem was born on June 19, 1921, in Grandview Township to Jacob and Irma (Ballegeer) De Bruycker. She grew up on a farm near Ghent. On September 23, 1939, she was united in marriage to Albert “Pat” Van Moorlehem. The couple farmed near Minneota until moving to Taunton in 1973. In 2004, Mary moved to the Madison Ave Apartments in Minneota. She enjoyed playing bingo and dice games, spending time at the Taunton Senior Citizen’s center and was very talented with embroidery. Mary died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall. She is survived by her in-laws; Helen Bekken of Minnetonka, Alice Hargar of Sacramento, CA, Arthur Van Moorlehem of Marshall, Elmer (and Betty) Van Moorlehem of Canby, Howard (and Hulda) Van Moorlehem of Minneota, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pat and daughter Patricia.
