Nancy Ann Ulrich

A visitation for Nancy Ulrich, 78, of Minneota, will take place from 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. Interment will follow the service at the Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Minneota.

Nancy Ann (Anfinson) Ulrich was born on April 17, 1943, in Lake Crystal, MN, to Earl and Florence (Hanson) Anfinson. She attended grade school in Judson, MN, and graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1961. Nancy was united in marriage to Orval Ulrich on November 6, 1961 in Judson. The couple was married for over 60 years. They lived in a variety of communities including Courtland, Pipestone, Colorado, Marshall, and most recently were living in Minneota. Nancy worked for Roger Van Moorlehem tax service and REM for many years. She was a caregiver to those around her and will be remembered for her pleasant and easy going demeanor. She and Orval enjoyed wintering in Mesa, AZ, for many years where Nancy enjoyed playing water volleyball, tennis, and spending time outdoors. She continued to enjoy her daily walks in Minneota. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy treated all of her grandchildren equally and each was made to feel very special.

Nancy died on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Sanford Health Sylvan Court in Canby after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, Orval, of Minneota, children Chris (and Sabrina) Ulrich of Marshall, Julie (and Greg) Swedzinski of Porter, Michelle (and Kevin) Buysse of Ghent; grandchildren Nicole, Natasha (and Pat), Nathaniel (and Hannah), Shaun (and Amanda), Tara, Joshua (and Megan), Branden, Nathan (and Brooke), Austin (and Kennedy); great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Beckett, Hadley, Mykenzie, Barrett, Baily, Clare, Cole, Brynlee and Westin; sisters Marge (and Duane) Fiemeyer and Deb Gravelle and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Eldon Anfinson.
