Nicholas (Nick) Francis Bertamus

Nickolas “Nick” was born January 25, 1942 in Collis, MN to Aloysius and Armella (Nosbouch) Bertamus. He was baptized in Collis. He graduated from Canby High School. He joined the United States Army in 1964. He stayed on the farm and helped his parents farm by St. Leo. Then he worked at the Marshall Produce for many years. Then he worked at Tholen Auto Sales and drove semi, hauling used Schwans trucks all over the United States. On June 18, 1971 he married Donna Blomme. With that marriage they had two sons, Timothy and Terrance. Nick enjoyed playing cards. He loved to bake, watch sports and spend time with his two grandchildren. Brendan and Lilie were truly Nick’s world. Nick died unexpectedly September 7, 2013 in Minneota at the age of 71. His love, generosity and kindness will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his two sons, Timothy and Terrance (Tanna); his grandchildren Lilie and Brendan, all of Minneota; sister, Ann Fier of Taunton, sisters-in-law, Cleo Bertamus of Madison, Rosie Bertamus of Farmington, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two brothers, Al and Clayton Bertamus, nephew, Dean Bertamus. May God bless Nick’s memory.
