Paul Edward DePover Jr. was born on March 26, 1927, in Marshall, to Paul Sr. and Isabel (Skierecki) DePover. He grew up in Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School. Paul enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy as a member of the Naval Seabees. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Marshall. On January 10, 1949, he was united in marriage to Arlys Herhusky. Paul worked for the family business, DePover Chevrolet. He then began his own business; DePover Outdoor Display, and later worked as a salesman for Tholen Auto. Trapshooting was Paulâs lifelong passion. He and Arlys enjoyed motorhoming to various competitions. Paul won numerous awards and had 243,650 registered targets. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and golf. He also enjoyed family time at Lake Le Homme Dieu in Alexandria and playing cards with Arlys.
Paul died suddenly on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at his residence in Marshall. He is survived by his son Paul III (and Margaret) of Ionia, MI, their son, Tim, son Peter (and Diane) of Inver Grove Heights, their daughter Ashley, daughter Patricia Limon of Oklahoma City, OK, her son Quinn, son Philip (and Cheryl) of Fulda, daughter Pamela (and Dean) Coudron of Marshall, their sons Darryl and Eric, son Patrick (and Teresa) of Des Moines, IA, their children Lauren, Paige and Nolan, son Perry (and Tiffany) of Marshall, their daughter Taylor, great-granddaughter Gracie Limon, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Arlys, sister Elizabeth, son-in-law Phillip, and one infant grandson.
