Pravit âVitâ Rojawat was born on May 31, 1961, in Bangkok, Thailand, to Tumroung and Meng Jeng Rojawat. He grew up and completed his education in Thailand. In October, 1990, he moved with his family to Wayzata. After some training, he joined his family in Marshall where he worked tirelessly as a server, cook, and manager at the Hunan Lion Restaurant. Vit was exceptional at his job and made many friends with his customers. He was also a talented artist. His art is influenced by the beauty of nature which he depicted by painting tropical scenes, flowers, marine and wildlife. He had solo art shows in Marshall and Minneapolis and participated in group shows in New York, Covington, Louisiana and other places. Vit also loved to cook, drink wine, and was an excellent baker. He will be remembered for his smile and his very positive outlook on life.
Vit passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at his residence in Marshall. He is survived by his sister Sarah and Joe Ektanitphong of Marshall, nephews Teddy and Nick in college, close relative and good friend Karen Tonglim, and seven siblings in Thailand. He was preceded in death by his parents.
