Raymond Joseph Buysse

Raymond Joseph Buysse was born in Westerham Township on February 19, 1919 to Frank and Helene (DeLanghe) Buysse. On February 4, 1950 he was united in marriage to Vivian “Bobbi” Darlene Magandy, together they had seven children and lived in Marshall their entire married lives. Ray served as a medic in the US Army from 1942 to 1945 and was stationed in New Caledonia and Okinawa. Ray was a carpenter by trade and worked for various contractors in the Marshall area. He enjoyed gardening, music, dancing, wood duck watching and family most of all. Ray peacefully passed away on August 28, 2010 at the age of 91. Ray is survived by children: Jack (Jackie), Valley Springs, SD, Jane (Jim Fox), Minnetonka, MN, Joe (Sharon), Marshall, Julie (Terry Sorbel), Marshall, Jim (Cindy Friesen), Marshall, Jeff (Linda), Boerne, TX and Jill (Tom McCullers) Cape Coral, FL., 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Siblings: Marion Pask, Ridgewood, NJ, Vincent Buysse, Marshall, Val Blair, Marshall and Jim Buysse, Eagan, MN. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, wife “Bobbi”, and daughter in-law Audrey. Siblings: Alyce Anderson, Julie Shriver, Midge Buysse and Andy Buysse Memorials preferred to Prairie Home Hospice or American Cancer Society.
