Richard John âRickâ McKinney was born on June 16, 1949, in Boscobel, WI to Howard and Irene (Root) McKinney. He grew up and attended school in St. Paul, MN. Rick enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1968 â 1969 in Vietnam. After his discharge, he returned to St. Paul. In 2000, he moved to Marshall. On July 8, 2010, he was united in marriage to Judy Black. Rick was a very creative person. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed building and selling dream catchers. He also enjoyed cooking, baking and especially fishing.
Rick died on Wednesday, November 03, 2010, at his residence in Marshall after a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Marshall, son Michael, daughter Shawna, grandchildren Jacqueline, Autumn and Cora, step-daughter Ashley, step-grandchildren Sir Kharim and Prince, best friends Willie Walker, Leve Thornton, Frank and numerous other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
