Rita Dorothy (Klinnert) Tople was born on July 2, 1935, at home in Maine Township, Otter Tail County, to Carl and Dorothy (Rian) Klinnert. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School. In July of 1954, she was united in marriage to Dean Tople. Rita owned and operated the Tople Hide and Fur Farm; first with her husband, Dean, after his death she continued with her father-in-law, Erwin Tople. After his retirement, she continued operations with her special friend, Leonard Schultz. In addition to the fur farm, Rita worked at various other jobs as well. She enjoyed travelling, bowling, golfing, fishing, motorcycle riding, geneology, making quilts and dancing. Most of all, Rita enjoyed playing cards. She belonged to the SeniorCitizenâs Center and a card club. Rita died on Friday, March 11, 2011, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her son Daryl (and Jolene) Tople of Underwood, MN, daughter Judy (and Carl) Klatt of Lynd, three grandchilDren, six great-grandchildren, siblings Jim (and Carolyn) KlinneRt of Hesperus, CO, Camilla (and Ervin) Rocholl, Jerome (and Henrietta) Klinnert and Verona (and Bill) Thom, all of Underwood, Butch (and Diane) Klinnert of Breckenridge, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friend Al Nowacki of Vesta. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean, special friend Leonard Schultz and great-grandson Bryce Lanoue.
