Robert James Flood

Robert James Flood was born on March 24, 1917, in Burton Township, Yellow Medicine County, to Robert and Lily (Fillman) Flood. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Minneota High School. Robert was a talented mechanic. In addition to helping his family farm, he created and repaired farm implements and machinery for local farmers. He later went to work for Sheldon Gullickson Auto Repair in Hanley Falls. For the last several years, Robert was retired in Madison, MN. He died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at the Dawson Hospital in Dawson. He is survived by his special friend, Helen Bode, of Madison, brother David (and Janice) Flood of Preston, MN, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dorothy Abels, Jean Josephson, James E. Flood, infant sister Iris, and Frank Flood.
