Rose Ann (Klein) Bourgeois was born on March 23, 1916, in Waverly, SD, to John and Elizabeth (Haan) Klein. She attended school and graduated from Waverly High School. On April 19, 1940, she was united in marriage to Donald John Bourgeois. Rose worked as a retail clerk in Marshall until 1944 when the couple purchased the Furniture Store and Funeral Home in Minneota. They sold the funeral home in 1972 and the furniture store in 1976, and moved to Arizona where Rose lived until returning to Minneota in 1996. She was a member of the St. Edward Joan of Arc Society and Minneota Golf Course Association. Rose enjoyed playing bridge, dancing and bowling. She died on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. She is survived by her children Kathy Phillips of Ogden, UT, Robert (Donna) Bourgeois of Federal Way, WA, Nancy (Dale) Buysse of Ghent, William (Sandi) Bourgeois of Ennis, MT, grandchildren Mike Phillips, Christopher (Ivy) Phillips, Ganeâ and Darrick Bourgeois, Jeff (Rhonda) Buysse, Kevin (Michelle) Buysse, Brian (Lynn) Buysse, Heather (Lance) Coyle and Ashley Bourgeois, great-grandchildren Cody and Hailey Phillips, Beau, Brock and Brant Buysse, Nathan and Austin Buysse, Alaine and Leo Buysse, and sister Delores Kahnke of Florence, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Don.
