RoseAnn Frances âTootsâ (Welvaert) Lanoue was born on June 3, 1942, in Marshall, MN, to Victor and Anne (Nuytten) Welvaert. She grew up in Marshall and graduated from Central Catholic High School. Toots was united in marriage to Richard Lanoue. The couple made their home and raised their family between Marshall and Tracy and Toots worked for a time for the Tracy Nursing Home. After her children were grown, Toots moved to Apple Valley and worked for Fairview Ridges Health System. For the last eight years, she has been living in Madelia. Toots was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. She also enjoyed going for walks and an occasional glass of red wine. She was most passionate about spending time with her family. After suffering a stroke and other health ailments, Toots began receiving care from Pipestone Hospice.
RoseAnn died on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the Pipestone County Hospice House in Pipestone, MN. She is survived by her children Debbie (and Larry) Guyer of Madelia, Curt (and Margaret) Lanoue of Sioux Falls, SD, James Lanoue (and fiancé Karina) of Hardwick, Gary (and Gina) Lanoue of Revillo, SD, Shari (and Ben) Harlston of Watertown, SD, 26 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, siblings Tyke Brigger, Lil Volden, Bob (and Linda) Welvaert, Linda (and George) Slettedahl, Rene Esping, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim, sister Jennie and the love of her life, Richard Lanoue.
