Rosemarie (DeWitte Debbaut) Van Moer was born on March 26, 1927, in Jasper, MN, to Emma (Facile) and Louis DeWitte. After Louisâ death, Emma married Richard Debbaut and he adopted Rosemarie. She attended and graduated from Milroy High School. On September 8, 1949, she was united in marriage to Donald Van Moer at St. Michaelâs Catholic Church in Milroy. They operated Vanâs Market from 1969 â 1978. Rosemarie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Rosemarie died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, surrounded by her six children at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She is survived by her children Victoria (and Tim) Russell of Marion, SD, Diane Buboltz of Naples, FL, Pamela (and Tim) Bot of Marshall, Richard (and Julie) Van Moer of Walnut Grove, Nancy (and Loren) Westphal of Lynd, Robert (and Lori) Van Moer of Marshall, 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brother Delmar (and Rosie) Debbaut, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Holy Redeemer School.
