Russell Gollmer

Russell George Gollmer was born on April 28, 1935, in Lake Marshall Township, to George and Anna (Dwire) Gollmer. He grew up on the family farm in Lake Marshall Township. On November 17, 1958, he was united in marriage to Margaret Dandurand at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. The couple farmed and made their home South of Marshall in Lyons Township. Russell enjoyed feeding his cattle and gardening. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Russell died on Thursday, April 02, 2009, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, after a very short illness. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Marshall, in-laws Mary (and Ray) Halbur, Armand (and Dianna) Dandurand, and Mae Dandurand, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Bossen and brothers-in-law Byron Bossen and Melvin Dandurand.
