Terrence Quentin Nuese was born on April 11, 1921, in Ivanhoe, to Frank and Alexine (Pilotte) Nuese. As a child, he moved with his family to Marshall where he went to school. Terrence enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II including participation with the invasion at Normandy. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Marshall. On September 8, 1948, he was united in marriage to Shirley Dobias in Milroy. Terrence drove truck for a variety of employers including Midpane, Kelco and Deutz & Crow. He later worked as a custodian for the Marshall Public Schools. Terrence was very active volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 113 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Terrence died on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Clarkfield Care Center in Clarkfield. He is survived by his sons Richard (and Cheryl) of Cottonwood, John (and Linda) of Sioux Falls, SD, Douglas (and Cindy) of Marshall, grandchildren Missy (and Scott) Gile, Laurie (and Tom) Rothery, Chad Nuese, Kristie Nuese, Brad (and Erin) Nuese, Jeff (and Katie) Nuese, Emily Nuese (and fiancé Travis Carroll), and Adam Nuese, great-grandchildren Makenzie, Logan, Megan, Noah, Jackson, Dawson, Nixon, Cameron, Bradyn and Jaxon, sister-in-law Florence Nuese, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, one brother and one sister.
