Thomas (Tom) Leo Ricke

Thomas Leo Ricke was born on September 6, 1941, in New Ulm, MN, to Bernard A. and Erma (Palmer) Ricke. He was baptized, received his first communion and attended school in Morgan, MN. On July 11, 1964, Tom was united in marriage to Luella Helget at The Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth, MN. Tom worked for Robert L. Carr for 50+ years as a construction worker. During his retirement, he worked for Menards. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, collecting beer memorabilia, watching Twins and Vikings games. He enjoyed old cars. Tom died on Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Prairie Home Hospice in Marshall, after a brief struggle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Luella of Marshall, children Ron of Marshall, Roger (and Karen) of Marshall, Connie (and Mike Smith) of Brookings, SD, grandchildren Kendra and Chace, sisters Marie Schmitz of Oklahoma City, OK, Carol (and Ray) DeKing of Sioux Falls, SD, brother Roy Ricke of Eagan, MN, sister-in-law Ramona Ricke of Blue Earth and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Kristi, brother Bill and brother and sister-in-law Ben and Phyllis Ricke, btother-in-law Joe Schmitz and sister-in-law Pat Ricke.
