Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at the Remembrance Center in Marshall. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Tim was born in 1963 in Marshall, MN, to Robert and Carolyn Hirmer. After graduating from Marshall High School, he went to work at Lyman’s Automotive. Tim lived in Minneapolis and Spencer, Iowa, where he opened his own Business: Hirm’s Auto. Most recently, he was employed at SR Auto Repair Garage and Lanoue’s Auto Parts. He was a master mechanic who was known for his honesty and ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles.
Tim had a great sense of humor and loved telling stories. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life – golfing, watching a good western, feeding his sqirrels, pulling tabs at the American Legion, traveling to Colorado to spend time with his sister, brother-in-law and nephew, going to demolition derby races and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his big heart; he had a very kind soul and his positive attitude and beautiful spirit in all circumstances will be greatly missed.
After a brief illness, Tim passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022, at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Carolyn Hirmer and sister Belinda Keller. He is survived by his sister Karen Gogela (Chuck and Matthew) of Fort Collins, CO; brother Mike Hirmer (Gaylene, Amanda and Brandy) of Mankato, MN; and his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved and supported him throughout the years.
The family wishes to thank Avera Marshall and Avera McKennan for their compassionate care.
