Valorie Jean Andree

Valorie J. Andree age 60 of Tracy, MN died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at her home in Tracy. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2013 at Tracy Lutheran Church. Visitation will also be held at Tracy Lutheran Church on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in the Tracy City Cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements. Valorie Jean Andree was born February 14, 1953 to Richard C. and Evelyn (Engel) Husby in Canby, MN, Yellow Medicine County. She was baptized on March of 1953 and Confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Canby. Valorie attended Canby Public Schools and graduated from Canby High School in 1971. After high school she then attended Canby Vocational School and graduated with a degree in Dental Assistance in May of 1972. On September 1, 1973 Valorie married Michael Andree at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Canby and they made their home in Madison, MN. She began her career with the dental office of Dr. Roger Ostroot, then Dr. Bill Gualtieri and finished her career at the Dental Health Center in Tracy, MN. Her family, church and community were very important to Valorie. She was a current member of Tracy Lutheran Church and over the past forty years served her churches in many capacities, from serving on Church council, call committee, building committee, and participating in Circle, women’s club, and serving as Sunday School teacher. Valorie was also a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and loved spending time with her three sons and their families. Her interests included reading, scrapbooking, crocheting, cooking and caring for her family. Recently her health required her to be a patient of the Murray County Hopsice and on Thursday, July 18, 2013 she died, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Tracy at the age of 60. Valorie is survived by her husband Mike Andree of Tracy, MN; three sons, Eric (Gwen) Andree of Tracy, MN, Kelly (Tina) Andree and Mark (Melissa) Andree, both of Sioux Falls, SD; six grandchildren, Kristen, Brittany, Allison, Abigail, Connor and Grayson; her mother, Evelyn Husby of Canby, MN; two brothers, Mike (Barb) Husby of Westland, MI and Chris (Lori) Husby of Canby, MN; three sisters-in-law, Jeanette (Everette) Johnson of Stillwater, OK, Karen (Warren) Broughton of Northfield, MN and Patricia (Glen) Parsons of Albert Lea, MN; many nieces, nephews and friends. Her father, Richard Husby, father-in-law, Marvin Andree, mother-in-law Ruby Andree, sister-in-law, Joan (Craig) Krosch preceded her in death.
