Verlyn Lorraine Beadles Gillund

Verlyn Lorraine (Beadles) Gillund was born April 12, 1930 in Wessington, S.D. to Hilda and Harry Beadles. She grew up in Red Lake Falls and graduated from high school in 1948. She met and married Willis Gillund on September 16, 1951 and moved to Marshall. The couple had two daughters. She remained in the area until going into a nursing home in September of 2007.. She passed away at Minneota Manor nursing home Saturday, November 9, 2013. Verlyn had a love for crocheting and knitting. She was involved with the VFW and the Eagles Club. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church for 62 years. Verlyn died on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. Verlyn is survived by her husband, Willis; two daughters, Cindy (Mike) Koerner and Karen (Keith) Christopherson; five grandchildren; one sister three brothers. She is preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, sister, three brothers-in-law, sister-in-law; two nephews. Special thanks to the caregivers at Minneota Manor nursing home.
