Virginia Ann Tusa

Virginia Ann Tusa was born on January 2, 1958 to Harry and Violet (Skalsky) Tusa in Jackson, MN. She lived in Jackson until she graduated from Jackson High School in 1976. At that time, she moved to Marshall to attend Southwest State University and made Marshall her home. Ginny was a former employee of the Marshall Independent and most recently she worked at the Schwan’s Ice Cream Plant and for Christ United Presbyterian Church in Marshall. Ginny was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and frequented the WhY Church. She was also a proud member of the Marshall Patriot Guard. Her interests and loves included her pets, gardening, canning, cooking, baking and her friends and family. Ginny died on Monday, February 15, 2010 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She is survived by her father, Harry Tusa, and stepmother, Henrietta “Etta” Konradi-Tusa of Jackson, brother James H. (and Lori J.) Tusa of Willmar, nephews Nathan J. Tusa of St. Paul and Danny L. Tusa of Willmar, special friend Gary Baxter of Marshall and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant brother Harry James Jr. The family is asking for memorials for charitable giving in lieu of flowers.
