Vivian Susan VanDeelen was born November 4, 1920 in Minneota to John and Rose (Homan) Van Deelen. She attended country school and the St. Leo School. On May 23, 1957 Vivian was united in Marriage to Francis Joseph Senden at St. Edwardâs Catholic Church in Minneota. The couple farmed in two different locations and then moved to a farm south of Marshall in 1962. They retired in 1979 and moved into Marshall where Vivian has lived until moving this last year to Eagan to be with her daughter. Vivian was an active member of Holy Redeemer Church. She was a willing volunteer, a member of the funeral choir, belonged to MCCW and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Vivian enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and liked visiting her friends and treating them to her homemade bread.
Vivian died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, under hospice care at her daughterâs home in Eagan.
Vivian is survived by his children John (and Linda) Senden of Spearfish, SD and JoAnn Senden of Eagan, grandchildren Lindsay, Luke, Kelsey and Whitney Senden of Spearfish, one brother Odilo (and Lona) VanDeelen of Minneota. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Francis.
