Walter Max St. Aubin

Walter Max St. Aubin was born on September 16, 1953 in Marshall, MN to Louis and Maxine (Gruhot) St. Aubin. He grew up on the family farm just south of Marshall, MN. He attended Marshall Public School graduating from Marshall Senior High in 1972. He met and fell in love with Patricia VanHecke. The couple was married at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota, MN on February 4, 1978. Together they had two sons Adam and Peter. 

Walter loved his family. He enjoyed playing board and card games with his wife and sons. He was a jokester always trying to bring a smile to the face of his loved ones. He was an expert mechanic and was always tinkering. Walter was a collector with a keen eye for a deal. Walter liked to host garage sales and was an avid outdoorsman. 

Walter died on April 17, 2023 at the Avera Morning Side Heights Care Center in Marshall.

He is survived by his sons Adam (Laura), Peter (Rita), siblings Judy (David), LeRoy (Teena), Linda (Scott), Pat (Steve), Karen, Ken (Sharon), Scott (Karin), father-in-law Francis VanHecke, brothers-in-law Robert VanHecke, Bill VanHecke, Ed VanHecke, and many nieces and nephews. 

Walter is preceded in death by his wife Patricia, parents Louis and Maxine, mother-in-law Mary VanHecke, sister-in-law Marlene VanHecke, nephew Brett VanHecke.
