William Steven Tillemans was born on January 29, 1952, in Marshall, to Philip and Yvonne (Gervais) Tillemans. He grew up in Minneota and graduated from Minneota High School in 1970 and from Mankato State University. Bill passed Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall after a two year battle with cancer.
Bill was a mental health professional employed by Prairie Community Services at Brentwood House.
Friends and family will remembered him as a good and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. Very dry.
An avid fisherman, Bill particularly enjoyed many fishing trips with his brothers to Lake Winnibigoshish. Bill enjoyed cooking and his fish frys were a special treat.
Bill loved sports. In high school, he was terrific pitcher becoming a varsity player in 9th grade. Bill (Tucker) later played left field for the infamous Red Eye softball team. He was a big fan of the Minneota and Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by his brothers, Tom (Barb) Tillemans of St. Cloud, MN, Jim (Karen) Tillemans of St. Louis Park, and sister, Jeanne (Ken Byers) Tillemans of San Francisco, CA, nieces, nephews, relatives and friend, Lori Langsweirdt of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Rosemary.
