Zona Laleman

Zona Marie (Koenigs) Laleman was born on July 6, 1925, in rural Porter, to Joseph and Catherine (Benken) Koenigs. She lived near Porter until moving with her family to Canby in 1952. On January 25, 1956, she was united in marriage to Omer Laleman. The couple farmed and raised their family north of Minneota. In 1987, they moved to Minneota. Zona enjoyed baking, embroidery, playing cards, dancing to old time music and was an avid sports fan for local and state sports. She and Omer enjoyed traveling to many interesting places all over the world. Zona died on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. She is survived by her husband, Omer Laleman of Minneota, children Catherine Laleman (and fiancé Dan Williams) of Forest City, IA, Helen Laleman of Eden Prairie, Robert (and Teresa) Laleman of Pierre, SD, Steven (and Laurie) Laleman of Minneota, grandchildren Ryan Laleman (fiancé Kaleigh) and Nicole Laleman of Pierre, SD, Kyle Laleman and Heather Laleman of Minneota, great-granddaughter Maesyn, one sister Colleen Koenigs of Canby, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
